Lean Manufacturing Engineer – Continuous Improvement Bristol-based £40,000 – £45,000 plus bonus and benefits Several Lean Manufacturing Engineers are required by a global Manufacturing client of ours who is going through a period of rapid growth currently and is at the forefront of their industry. The successful candidate will own the timely completion of all manufacturing engineering deliverables for either new product implementation (NPI) projects or distributed manufacturing projects. This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £40,000 – £45,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonus and benefits. Overview of the Lean Manufacturing Engineering role: Candidates should be confident with product manufacturing processes and working with manufacturing cells, including Sub-assembly, Final Assembly, Final Testing, and Despatch. Create production work instructions, DFM, Make/buy, Capex, and PFMEA. This is to aid in an effective and efficient build process. Own, plan, drive, and complete Manufacturing Engineer deliverables in readiness for NPI stage gate reviews, continuous improvement, or work transfer projects. Utilise Continuous Improvement methodologies and operating systems, 5S, std work, VSM, kaizen, change management, TPM, SPC, and Gauge R&R. Key skills required for the Lean Manufacturing Engineering role: Candidates should possess a Manufacturing Engineering degree or circa 3 plus years of relevant experience. Experience participating in continuous improvement projects including principles such as TPM, SMED, 5S, 8D problem solving, Kaizen, VSM, and change management. Candidates should possess Design for manufacture experience as well as a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
