A fast-growing, operations-focused leader in the subsea and offshore engineering sector is seeking an Offshore Equipment Operations Lead to oversee the effective deployment, troubleshooting, and performance of critical subsea assets across global offshore projects. This is a key role for someone with hands-on offshore experience and a strong understanding of the demands, pressures, and pace of live offshore environments. Ideally, you will have led the operational delivery of trenching, ROV, or geotechnical spreads from start to finish. The company is not an OEM but delivers field-ready solutions to some of the most complex subsea challenges. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and support offshore teams with minimal ramp-up time.
Location: Remote / WFH
Contract: Up to 90 days travel/year
Industry: Subsea | Renewables | Offshore Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operational support and performance management of assigned offshore equipment spreads (ROVs, trenchers, geotechnical tools, etc.).
- Work closely with the Assets Manager and offshore teams to deliver against project KPIs.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support during mobilisations and active campaigns.
- Manage all aspects of asset readiness — maintenance, certifications, audits, and defect reporting.

- Act as the point of contact between offshore operations and internal technical/engineering teams.
- Support vessel teams with safe and compliant offshore operations, promoting best-in-class HSEQ practices.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams on spare parts, supplier selection, and cost control.
- Own documentation, compliance records, and maintenance logs for operational equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of direct offshore operational experience with subsea spreads (e.g., trenching, ROV, geotech drilling).
- Demonstrated experience managing full offshore spreads in a live environment.
- Strong understanding of offshore delivery and client expectations within a high-paced operational business.
- Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, MIST, OGUK Medical).
- Background in offshore operations (not just OEM/OEM support).
- Technical competency across mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
- Confident troubleshooting and providing live support in offshore environments.
- Exposure to fast-paced subsea contractors or marine operations companies.
- Experience acting as technical liaison between offshore teams and senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and offshore audits.
