Our OEM Client based in Gaydon or Whitley is searching for a Supplier Quality Management Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions. The position will be based at Gaydon or Whitley but is a hybrid role, with more than 50% of the time spent working at the client’s supplier sites. Some home working can be included, but primarily it will be either for a supplier visit or at the client’s site.

The professional must have a valid driving license and be willing to travel within the UK, mostly around the Midlands. Supplier Quality Management Engineering focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier-provided raw materials, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements, including:

  • Verifying and validating that suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
  • Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities.
  • Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Reviewing and analyzing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects.
  • Performing deviation investigations into quality issues.
