Summary Of Position

The Trade Marketing Manager (TMM) is responsible for activating and executing the Morphe brand marketing strategies in all EMEA trade channels. Working in close partnership with the Marketing Director and key cross-functional partners (Commercial, Operations and Finance), they are responsible for developing and executing the Trade Marketing plan to drive brand equity, revenue and profit in line with brand & regional strategy and targets.

The TMM will collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, PR, VM, and Global Marketing to build and execute high-impact, omnichannel trade and launch plans with our key retail partners. The ideal candidate will be a strong project manager and strategic thinker who understands how to tailor brand activity to different retail environments and consumer journeys. This is a 9 month fixed term contract position.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Strategic Trade & Launch Planning: Partners with the Marketing Director to develop and deliver the annual GTM & Trade Marketing plan, tailored by channel, in line with brand objectives and Global guidance for EMEA wholesale, aligning with brand priorities, commercial targets, and regional nuances. Develops and executes Trade Marketing channel plans in collaboration with Wholesale teams. Manages associated budget to deliver business and channel objectives and conducts ongoing analysis to review performance. Conducts competitors audits and benchmarking, trend tracking to identify risks and opportunities and shape Trade Marketing plans accordingly. Identifies white space and underperforming categories or touchpoints within partner environments and proposes new tactics to elevate Morphe’s presence and performance. Integrates upper-funnel brand awareness moments such as OOH, digital, or experiential campaigns into partner plans as appropriate.
  • Wholesale Channel Marketing: Partners with Wholesale team to co-create Trade Marketing & Activity plans across our key Wholesale partners (Selfridges, Boots, Superdrug, Douglas etc) that are in line with Global & Regional guidelines. Tailors Global toolkits, assets and activation to deliver co-marketing requirements and ensure assets are fit for purpose. Collaborates with broader Marketing teams (PR/IR and VM) and Retail partners as needed. Responsible for the development, execution and post-evaluation of Trade activities (Promotions, New Launches, Activations) in key Wholesale partners. Amplifies the brand at Retailer-led events & initiatives. Supports the opening of new stores and delivers experiential launch activations & plans.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Sales drive, results orientated with a passion for Beauty, Retail and consumer curiosity.
  • Relevant experience in commercial and channel-based marketing; a commercial and strategic mindset, analytical with attention to detail.
  • Experience in setting and executing commercial plans in Wholesale, online and bricks & mortar.
  • Strong commercial multi-channel acumen with thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and market/consumer trends – both on and offline.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills. Able to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of both quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and make sound, well-reasoned business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to drive share gains/category growth via commercial launch/activation plans and measure performance.
  • Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving momentum on projects and proactively planning ahead.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong team player able to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels of the organization and able to develop working relationships across the corporation.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable delivering presentations to a variety of internal and external audiences.
