Our contract manufacturing customers include some of the best-known names in the global drinks market.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified finance professional to understand how a large scale FMCG company operates and help the contract manufacturing commercial function reach their goals.

As Senior Finance Business Partner (Contract Manufacturing), you will cover all aspects of the customer relationship from the original estimate and contract negotiations through to monthly reporting and dealing with operational issues. You will manage the commercial proposition for profit and cash and be a key business partner for senior decision makers, taking a proactive approach in identifying and helping to secure successful outcomes.

Here are some of your key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work closely on a daily basis with the Contract Manufacturing Account Managers, focusing on pricing (new SKUs or changes to existing SKUs).
  • Formulate pricing scenarios to support commercial decision making.
  • Provide insightful decision-making support on costing and pricing proposals, considering brand strategy, competitor brand positioning, short and long term objectives, and profitability.
  • Deliver constructive challenge and quality insights as a reliable and trusted business partner.
  • Ensure promotional and other discounts and marketing costs are accurately reflected and allocated to underpin clarity in brand performance.
  • Deliver insightful reporting and commentary on brand performance and profitability, making recommendations for change where appropriate.

About You: You will be an experienced CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant who has previously worked in a business partnering role with a complex commercial focus. Ideally, you will have experience within FMCG or a related industry sector. If you have been a Site Accountant or Site Finance Manager in a manufacturing environment, we would like to hear from you. You should be good at translating your commercial understanding into customer conversations, agile in your thinking and approach, and articulate in your communication.
