Purpose of the Role: To ensure business continuity and improvement within the Engineering Department through the provision of Commercial expertise in the following areas:
- Contract Manager for the Train Service Agreements
- Responsible for the management of the Train leases with the ROSCO’s
- Responsible for the management of the Depot leases with Network Rail
- Responsible for the creation, management and renewal of Engineering contracts, in accordance with c2c contract governance, exploring opportunities to deliver improved value for money and to eradicate waste.
- The creation of a base budget for the department each year in accordance with the ABP process and timescales.
- To ensure that the requirements of the c2c Environmental Management System are met throughout the Engineering function.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- A minimum of Business Management Degree is preferred. Candidates with lower qualifications must demonstrate competence gained through sufficient relevant experience.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements, codes of practice and industry standards.
- Good management, communication and motivation skills including contract management.
- Minimum 5 years experience in T&RS depot environment.
- Evidence of the ability to create documents and instructions that can easily be understood by their intended audience.
- Risk assessment and setting priorities in both areas of day to day maintenance and project management.
- Success in cost-effective specification creation, accurate estimating and budget control.
- Surveying, inspection and auditing experience of electrical and mechanical installations and servicing arrangements.
Safety Training/Certification:
- Fire Safety (Primary Module) or equivalent.
- Fire Precautions Manager Training.
- NEBOSH Safety Management.
- Personal Track Safety including AC & DC electrified lines.
- Quality and Environmental Systems.
- To hold Full copy Rule Book · Incident Management.
- UK Driving License.
Other training will be provided as and when required. This will be dependant upon future altered or amended duties.
