Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Assistant Manager - Bar & Restaurant to join its Second Floor Restaurant in Bristol. About the role... As an Assistant Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and make their dining dreams a reality, providing a fun and enjoyable 5* experience. You will:

  • Maintain standards of service throughout the Brasserie as laid down by the Manager
  • Ensure productivity levels and sales are optimised
  • Interview staff and make selection decisions
  • Identify training requirements, and organise and follow through on 'on-job' training
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained to required levels
  • Handle customer queries and complaints
  • Provide expert advice whilst achieving maximum sales and delivering memorable customer experiences
  • Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service both face to face and over the phone or email
  • Develop a high level of product knowledge and share your opinions on current and future trends in the hospitality
  • Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it
  • Flexibility is a must; customer service can't wait during weekends and evenings!

Is this you? We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, love a challenge, are passionate about luxury retail and food and are looking for something uniquely different. You will ideally have a successful high end bar and restaurant background with proven experience supervising teams. Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the food and beverage industry, especially cocktails (mixologist is a plus). Impeccable command of the English language both written and spoken.
