Overview
As the Business Development Manager for Leisure, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the strategy to expand Montcalm Collection's presence within these sectors. Your primary responsibilities will involve building strong relationships with key clients, leading a dynamic sales team, and leveraging market insights to drive revenue and business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of strategy and deliver exceptional services for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities to inform strategic planning.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the Leisure sector.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, tailored to market dynamics and customer preferences.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to grow Montcalm Collection’s footprint.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless delivery of services and optimal business outcomes.
- Provide regular sales performance reports and market insights to the Commercial Director for informed decision-making.
- Uphold Montcalm Collection’s brand values, acting as an ambassador for the company in all client and partner interactions.
- Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements, securing favorable terms for the company while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Remain agile and adjust strategies to respond to changing market conditions and emerging trends in the Leisure sector.
Key Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, specifically in the Leisure industry, with a strong focus on driving revenue and growth.
- Proven background in managing complex accounts, including corporate associations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that exceed targets and drive business expansion.
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation, closing high-value deals, and managing client relationships at the executive level.
- Hands-on experience in market analysis and identifying opportunities in targeted sectors.
- Certification or training in sales, business development, or project management (e.g., Certified Professional in Sales Management, PMP, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the associations, sports, and pharmaceutical markets, with insight into customer behavior and competitive landscapes.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments to deliver outstanding business outcomes.
The role may require occasional work outside of regular business hours.
