The team undertake the management of Farms and Rural Estates and offer a range of professional rural advice. Their technical excellence ensures an impressive client base, and they advise on some of the most prestigious clients in the area. The role will be a blend of Farm and Estate Management and professional working within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as principal agent for a selection of key farm and estate management clients
- Financial management of client’s businesses
- Managing farm/estate staff and contractors
- Undertaking estate and farming business reviews
- Identifying opportunities for appropriate diversification
- Understanding, interpreting and communicating effects of the key rural policies
- Supporting the directors in winning new work to increase turnover and continue the growth of the department
Person Specification:
Qualifications/Key Skills:
- Educated to relevant degree level
- Professionally qualified MRICS or alternative agricultural qualification
- Experience in a consultancy and/or management role
Experience & Skills:
- Demonstrate team leadership potential, capable of building relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunities.
- Able to take the initiative and to problem solve to achieve the best outcome for the client
- Commercially aware and ambitious – able to identify and act on opportunities to generate and then deliver new work in a timely manner
- Technical excellence in key areas of farm and estate management
- Sound knowledge of farming and environmental subsidy and grant schemes
- The ability to think strategically and advise accordingly in respect of client’s businesses
- Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads
