Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking a Nursery Manager to be based at our St Albans Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in our Nuffield Health gym. This is a fantastic opportunity to help run one of the brilliant Nuffy Bear nurseries inside the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. We’re Ofsted registered and we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. We’re serious about taking care of children’s wellbeing; if you are too, why not follow your passion and enjoy the rewards when you run one of our Nuffy Bear nurseries.

As a Nursery Manager, you’ll be qualified with the NNEB, an NVQ Level 3/4, BTEC or BA Hons (or equivalent). You’ll need experience of managing a team and an enhanced DBS check. Crucially, you’re great at communicating with parents, carers and external professionals.

As a Nursery Manager, you will:

  • Ensure our nursery and its team provide the best possible high-quality care and education
  • Champion the health, growth and development of every child in our care
  • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Oversee planning activities and assessments while implementing updates to childcare legislation
  • Hold overall responsibility for SEN and Safeguarding
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales and achieve revenue targets
