We’re partnering with a renowned environmental branding and wayfinding firm who are seeking a talented Wayfinding Specialist to join their team in Leeds. If you are a technical, strategic wayfinding specialist looking to work on large-scale international projects, this could be the role for you!

What you’ll be doing

You will join a close-knit office that specialises in wayfinding as one of their most senior practitioners. Joining a team made up primarily of wayfinding designers specialising in visual design, you will provide a strategic foundation to their work. Utilising experience in major research-driven projects, you will take the lead on planning and scheduling wayfinding, providing technical expertise to ensure project feasibility, and manage relationships with clients. You’ll also get the chance to support your fellow designers through mentoring and leadership, helping to develop strategic wayfinding processes across the team.

Working closely with a global client base, you’ll play a crucial part in understanding client objectives and translating them into thoughtful, accessible user experiences. You’ll be comfortable speaking to clients, communicating timelines, and managing relationships and expectations. Alongside client contacts and other wayfinding designers, you’ll be working with architects and interior designers to their timelines.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Expertise in wayfinding strategy, planning, and scheduling.
  • Experience in client engagement, including pitching and project and relationship management.
  • Experience working on large scale wayfinding projects, ideally with international clients.
  • Evidence of considering technical constraints in projects, including feasibility of materials, dimensions, and an understanding of sign construction.
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite.
