Structural Engineer (Surveys)

Our client, a renowned consultancy in the buildings sector, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team in London on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce precise structural calculations for various residential projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
2. Assist in conducting structural surveys, evaluating the integrity of existing structures, and identifying potential issues.
3. Assess and report on structural defects in residential properties, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for remediation.
4. Offer guidance and support for projects requiring structural expertise, collaborating closely with design teams and other stakeholders.
5. Ensure all structural work adheres to industry standards and complies with applicable regulations.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor\’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience in structural engineering, with a focus on residential properties.
3. Proficiency in structural calculations, defect analysis, and familiarity with UK building regulations.
4. Competency in structural analysis and design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information in reports.
