Our client, a leading US law firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated M&A Associate to join their expanding private equity/M&A practice in London. Position Overview

As an M&A Associate, you will play a key role in advising clients on complex, high-value M&A transactions, with a focus on cross-border M&A deals. You will work closely with partners and colleagues across various practice areas and jurisdictions to deliver exceptional results for clients. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills, commercial acumen, and client relationships while contributing to the growth of the firm's M&A practice.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a wide range of complex, high-value M&A transactions, with a focus on cross-border private equity deals
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, and ancillary documents
  • Conduct due diligence, identify potential risks, and develop solutions to address them
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and jurisdictions to provide comprehensive and integrated advice to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and providing strategic guidance
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including pitches, proposals, and thought leadership

Requirements

  • Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong track record of advising on complex, high-value M&A transactions, with exposure to private equity deals
  • Excellent technical skills, with a solid understanding of corporate law and M&A principles
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
