In this role, you will adhere to all Health and Safety and Sustainability policies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company procedures. You will work collaboratively with client personnel, fostering effective relationships to streamline contract management and ensure that all commercial documentation and reports are completed to the highest standards.

Your technical expertise will involve providing cost advice for Core and Additional Services, ensuring contract processes are followed, and attending risk meetings to manage and mitigate risks. You will actively support sustainable practices, promoting carbon reduction and utility consumption initiatives in line with the Ministry of Defence’s goals.

People management is integral to this role. You will liaise closely with site and area management teams, DIO, and end users, ensuring all team members understand their responsibilities and obligations under the service delivery contract. Through effective communication, you will instil confidence in stakeholders, negotiate persuasively, and provide guidance on contract particulars. You will support the operational teams in dispute avoidance and resolution, offering commercial insights to optimize performance.

Commercially, you will lead change management under the FDIS Contract, ensuring that stakeholder timelines are met. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier payments, monitoring supply chain performance, and assisting in developing and implementing risk management procedures. You will also prepare monthly cost reports, price Core and Additional Services to meet contract requirements, and ensure adjudications are performed accurately and efficiently.

You should have commercial experience in social housing, property maintenance, or a related field, with expertise in developing cost models, risk analysis, work proposals, and dispute resolution. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to maintain collaborative working environments and prevent fraud.

A qualification at HND/Foundation Degree level in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience, is required. Knowledge of facilities management or commercial construction, particularly in handling large or concurrent smaller projects, will be advantageous.

Experience in a social housing environment, familiarity with BS11000 Collaborative Business Relationships, and knowledge of utility consumption reduction will set you apart. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and membership in a professional body are advantageous.
