My client, a leading digital consultancy, is currently looking for a GCP DevOps Engineer to join an end client within the banking space on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with Istio as well as Google Cloud Platform. This is a hybrid role, Inside IR35, and will require you in their London office 2-3 days per week.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with GKE cluster management and deploying workloads in the cluster.
  • Hands-on experience with Istio service mesh with features like authentication, authorization, load balancing, routing, virtual network route tables, subnets, gateway, configuring control plane, ingress gateway.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud and its offerings like VPCSC, IAM, Project.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for automating infrastructure deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes network policies, GKE RBAC Policies, Role Bindings, Kubernetes Jobs, Kubernetes Logging & Monitoring, etc.
  • CI/CD - Hands-on experience with Jenkins or similar tools.
