A leading retailer is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its legal team. This role is ideal for an 1+ PQE lawyer with expertise in commercial law, offering the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters, including IP strategy, contract negotiation, supplier agreements, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including supplier, distribution, partnership, licensing, and marketing contracts.
- Ensure the company adheres to UK, EU, and other relevant regulatory requirements, advising on consumer law, data protection, and other compliance matters.
- Advise on e-commerce regulations, data protection, and privacy compliance to drive online expansion.
- Negotiate key partnerships with leading online retailers and marketplaces.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer (1+ PQE) with experience in commercial law, gained in private practice or in-house.
- Previous in-house experience within an international context, particularly in the retail/luxury fashion industry, is highly advantageous.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
