Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, offering challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
As a Technical Advisor - Offshore Structural, you will support the lead related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:
- Design basis, material and construction specifications
- Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending and setdown) and accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover)
- Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances
- Review analyses/calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies
The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, clients, and third-party contractors, coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
- Degree in Structural Engineering Design
- Minimum experience of 12 years with excellent technical and practical engineering skills, able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule
- Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software is a prerequisite
- Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable
- In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to work in an office-based role
