Croydon Council has 1 full time Income Officer with the Income & Lettings Service. Your main responsibility will be the recovery of rent arrears from current tenants, including extensive contact with them, either on the telephone or at interview. You will need to persuade tenants with rent arrears to make their rent payments a priority over their other financial liabilities. A firm but consistent approach will be essential to control the level of rent arrears on your patch of tenancies.

Among the attributes that you will need for this work is the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, to consistently produce high quality work; and provide a service to members of the public consistently but sensitively, according to their individual needs, while meeting the customer care standards set for the service.
