My client is hiring a Group Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the brand and communications strategy for a highly regarded international law firm. This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for managing the firm’s global marketing communications, brand identity, and reputation across key markets.

The Role – Group Marketing and Communications Manager

You’ll work at the heart of the firm’s growth and positioning strategy, collaborating with senior leadership, partners, and global teams. Leading a small team and overseeing external agencies, you’ll be responsible for managing a broad portfolio—from PR and internal communications to digital marketing, social media, and award submissions. You will shape how the firm presents itself to clients, prospects, recruits, media, and the wider legal industry. The role demands strategic oversight, hands-on delivery, and exceptional stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand and Reputation: Lead the firm’s brand positioning and identity globally. Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications. Oversee the evolution and implementation of brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Communications and PR: Develop and execute strategic media and PR campaigns. Build relationships with key media outlets in legal and business press. Manage the delivery of compelling internal and external communications.
  • Awards and Recognition: Coordinate legal directory and award submissions. Work with fee earners and partners to identify and showcase success stories. Build a consistent pipeline of opportunities to enhance the firm’s reputation.
  • Campaigns and Marketing Delivery: Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and events. Deliver high-quality content and thought leadership in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Own the marketing calendar and project manage key initiatives from end to end.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align marketing with business priorities. Be a trusted advisor to partners and teams on marketing strategy and execution. Drive a culture of marketing excellence across the business.
  • Digital and CRM: Oversee digital marketing strategy, including social media, SEO, and email. Manage CRM platforms and marketing automation to support business development. Ensure digital channels are aligned with brand objectives and optimised for performance.
  • Employer Brand and Internal Communications: Partner with HR and Talent teams to develop the employer brand strategy. Support internal communications and recruitment campaigns to attract top talent. Ensure the firm’s values and culture are reflected across all touchpoints.
  • Agency and Supplier Management: Manage external creative, digital and PR agencies. Oversee procurement and ensure delivery is on time, on brand, and on budget.
  • Budget and Performance: Manage the marketing and communications budget with full accountability. Monitor and report on campaign performance, engagement metrics and ROI.
