Job Summary
As part of our operations team, you will maintain critical facilities infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers. You will work closely with a team dedicated to providing outstanding service, embracing diversity and fostering an equitable work environment aligned with our core values.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility infrastructure and perform planned maintenance activities.
- Conduct site inspections and supervise building and data centre alarms.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on site infrastructure or overseen by vendors.
- Develop skills to perform repairs and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Complete site logs and gather data for permits, such as MOPs and scripts.
- Assist senior staff with responding to on-site incidents and act as directed.
- Respond to basic incidents based on knowledge and experience.
- Complete work requests and circuit installations.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects and carry out small works projects, e.g., lighting upgrades.
Qualifications
- ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in data centres or critical environments.
- Knowledge of critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Willing to work shifts (days, nights, weekends).
Desired
- Full qualified apprenticeship.
- HV switching experience.
- Clean UK driving license.
