We have an exciting opportunity in the Unsecured Lending team to join a talented group of Analytical colleagues in driving commercial growth in combination with strong customer outcomes. The role is responsible for ensuring business performance and customer behaviours are understood, to support purpose led strategies and management of the unsecured lending business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Insights into the unsecured lending business, combining low level portfolio performance insight with a macro view of external factors (including competitor activity).
- Utilising analytical platforms and data to provide insight and data led recommendations to support key business trading decisions.
- Evaluation of commercial and credit performance across unsecured lending, leveraging analytics to identify risks and opportunities, working with key stakeholders across the business.
- Adopting a continuous improvement team mindset, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through the adoption of new technologies, data, segmentation and advanced modelling.
- Partnering with key stakeholders and business partners, building relationships to obtain engagement and support in delivery of plans.
We need you to have:
- A strong analytical mind, a self-starter and a willingness to learn and develop.
- Previous exposure to coding (SAS, SQL, Python, R) to include summarising and presenting large datasets.
- Excellent numerical skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret data incisively, clearly present the facts and influence outcomes through data led recommendations.
- Experience analysing and interpreting data to solve business problems.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, with experience of managing challenge and conflict.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential:
- A degree from a Mathematical, Economic, or Science discipline.
- Experience within financial services, with knowledge of the end-to-end economics, customer behaviour, strategy, credit reference agencies, and drivers of product profitability.
- Proficiency coding with SAS and SQL and previous experience utilising PowerBI reporting tools.
