About the Role:
As the field-based Service Engineer covering the North-west and North Midlands, you will travel to our customer’s sites to advise on, service, repair and install rinsing, chemical dosing and application, and storage equipment. Largely working within the Food Processing, Brewing and Beverage and Food service sectors, looking after the needs of our customers in the way of hygiene and washdown equipment, sometimes at unsociable hours in order to work around production when required. 40 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
- To work together with other members of the Engineering Department to ensure that the best possible standard of service and support is made available to customers.
- To plan, organise and carry out both preventative and emergency maintenance to installed and mobile equipment on customer premises.
- To include System Cleaners washdown equipment, water booster pump sets, double diaphragm pumps, tray wash and dishwasher pumping systems, chemical dilution equipment.
- To carry out installations of hygiene systems/equipment on customer premises and to take responsibility for the cost and quality of work carried out.
- To carry out such work safely, efficiently, punctually and in full cooperation with the customer’s representative.
- To be prepared to respond to customer requests for technical assistance at short notice and at such times as may be necessary to meet reasonable customer demands.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all necessary stocks of materials and components are procured and available to enable installations and maintenance of equipment to proceed as required.
- To complete such documentation as may be required, this includes but is not limited to: completing in app engineer job sheets; uploading and making entries on to a CRM platform; maintaining and updating diary; and the use of company system when updating timesheets.
- To maintain or have maintained all company property including tools, vehicle, vehicle stock, telephone and laptop as required and to maintain their security.
- To present themselves, the company vehicle, and the company in a professional manner at all times.
