Job Shift: Full Time. Flexi time around core hours Monday - Thursday. Early Finish Friday. Paid O/T at premium rate.
Due to continued investment and product innovation, this leading design, development and manufacturer are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who also has knowledge of quality processes and tools to support ongoing process optimisation, implement manufacturing improvements, drive product quality and reduce costs within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a motivated team with key responsibilities as Manufacturing Quality Engineer spanning:
- Developing and updating work instructions (SOPs) and manufacturing specifications.
- Supporting internal investigations using problem resolution tools and techniques including root cause investigations using lean tools and techniques.
- Driving continuous improvement activities to remove waste and improve efficiency, Scrap, Rework and Repair.
- Designing and updating jigs, fixtures and tooling including creating drawings for manufacture.
- Management of controlled builds.
- CAPEX - identifying any new needs and supporting requisitions for new equipment as required.
To succeed in this varied Manufacturing Engineering role you will ideally need to be:
- HNC/D/ degree qualified in an engineering discipline OR have proven experience in a mechanical production engineering environment.
- Proven hands-on manufacturing engineering approach and mindset.
- Mechanical process knowledge.
- Lean / Continuous improvement / six sigma experience.
- Regulated industry experience, automotive, rail, aerospace or similar.
- MRP / SAP experience.
- CAD experience ideal for tool design (3D CAD preferred but not essential).
The role is INSIDE IR35, PAYE and offers premium O/T rates.
