Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Full Time Forklift Driver/Goods In Operative at our Lacock Garden Centre.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential.
Working Monday - Friday, a minimum of 7 hours per day may be required to work 8 hour days on seasonal peak periods in line with business need. 8:30am - 3:30pm/4:30pm.
Forklift Driver/Goods In Operative responsibilities:- Receiving, unloading and inspecting incoming deliveries
- Checking stock against delivery notes and booking in stock
- Organising and storing goods
- Distributing goods and replenishing stock around the site in a safe manner
- Organising waste management around the site
- Maintaining good, up-to-date knowledge of the layout of the centre
- Ensuring personal compliance with Whitehall's H&S guidelines
- Maintaining a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third parties
Counterbalance and Teletruck licence preferable although training can be provided. Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks and heavy lifting when required. Reliable, punctual and a team player with excellent communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
