In collaboration with an established provider of care and support for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours, I am recruiting a supported living service manager to oversee an intensive care setting in Birmingham. This role reports directly into the registered area manager.

Your role will be varied, and will include:

  • Supervision and management of a team of Support Workers.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and delivering the highest standards of care and personal support.
  • Promoting independence and choice for the individuals you support.
  • Acting as a role model, demonstrating excellent support and good practice.
  • Working collaboratively with the Registered Area Manager to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Providing hands-on support to individuals at least one day a week.
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of the people you support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using good IT skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting adults with complex learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Autism and Positive Behaviour Plans.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or equivalent) or willingness to achieve within 18 months.
  • Strong IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts on a rota basis.
