We have an exciting opportunity for a Farm Assessor to join our team covering the Northumberland region. We are seeking someone with a hands-on agricultural background who is interested in becoming a Farm Assessor and joining our team focusing on Beef, Lamb, Dairy and Combinable Crops on a zero-hour contract.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking someone who has experience and knowledge of the agricultural industry and who can empathise and communicate with customers is crucial, alongside a farming background with exposure to Beef, Lamb and Dairy.
- Formal Qualification/Degree in Agriculture or a related field is desirable but not essential
- Relevant experience working with associated Agriculture areas (cattle/sheep/crops/organics etc) or in industry. Additionally, experience with any Red Tractor scheme would also be desirable
- Good communication, IT and organizational skills
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Farm Assessor, you will be required to plan and conduct professional Red Tractor audits to enable the delivery of assessments and certification services that meet customer requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing agricultural standards, ensuring farmers are fully compliant. This could be standards in animal welfare, farm assurance, health and safety, environmental legislation and many more.
- To carry out Red Tractor accredited audit programmes with a focus on Beef, Lamb and Dairy audits
- Deliver specific client training programmes and on-the-job coaching, where required
- Provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to our clients
- Fully follow the Audit Brief for all audits undertaken, ensuring audit-specific requirements are met
- Accurately complete all reports and paperwork, handheld data capture forms, and other documentation, as required, for each client audit/visit
- Progress actions speedily and report delays in completion to any agreed timescales
Zero hours contract, flexible working hours, paid per audit. Covering the Northumberland area.
