The Role We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a remote role based in the UK, designed for someone who can hit the ground running. The successful candidate will have specific expertise in education and training, particularly within any of the following areas: Construction Education & Training – Knowledge of CITB courses, Construction NVQs, or related qualifications. Health & Safety Training – Experience with courses such as First Aid, IOSH, or NEBOSH. Project Management, Leadership & Coaching – Understanding of qualifications like PRINCE2, ILM, and CMI. We are looking for candidates who can organically build relationships while leveraging warm and cold leads. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving growth and delivering results in education and training. Once you have passed your probation you may begin to be responsible for a small team of sales executives / appointment setters. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement business development strategies tailored to CST Training’s course portfolio. Identify new business opportunities within construction, health and safety, and professional development sectors. Manage and grow client relationships from both warm and cold leads, while building relationships organically. Research market trends to understand client training needs and propose relevant solutions. Present CST Training’s offerings to prospective clients, highlighting key benefits. Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline using CRMs and automated tools (experience with HubSpot is desirable). Provide regular performance updates to the management team. Requirements Experience: Proven track record in business development within education or professional training (minimum 3 years). Specific experience in any of the following areas is essential: Construction education and training. Health and safety training (First Aid, IOSH, NEBOSH). Leadership and project management qualifications (PRINCE2, ILM, CMI). Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively using CRMs and automated tools. A proactive, results-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
