The Optimisation team at giffgaff owns the CRO (conversion rate optimisation) process from end-to-end. We sit together with the Business Intelligence team, giving the Optimisation team access to the highest quality data. Our main stakeholders are the product teams. We collaborate closely with them to find the best ideas to improve our website and app, and then run experiments to see whether the improvements made any difference. This role will have end-to-end input into A/B tests. By collaborating with product teams, you will be helping them come up with new ideas for our website and app on how to improve experiences. You will then work with the product team to help them A/B test these ideas to ensure they deliver value and improve member experience. You will also be helping key stakeholders in the business understand traffic and journeys on our site using web analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Help product teams produce new data led hypotheses on how we can improve our website and app.
- Collaborate with product teams to build A/B tests to trial these new ideas and their roadmap items using Dynamic Yield.
- Analyse A/B testing results through Google Analytics, Snowflake and Eppo.
- Collate and gather data on member behaviour and usage of the site and app to present to the senior members of staff.
- Using Google Tag Manager to add, remove and edit tags to ensure we’re measuring everything we need to.
- Mentor and train other members of the team to add to their cross-skill capabilities.
The Must Haves
- Advanced knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimisation and associated Analytics.
- Proficient with SQL to analyse tests & transform data into easy to understand key takeaways.
- Strong experience of an A/B testing tool is required such as Google Optimize or Dynamic Yield.
- Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, GTM to help create the best A/B tests.
The Other Stuff We Are Looking For
- Ability to analyse and break down data into easy-to-understand stories to convey to key stakeholders such as Product & Marketing.
- Foundational knowledge of UX/UI/ Design and App/ Web development.
- An eye for good design - understand what makes a good web or app experience.
