We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Contract Manager to oversee the successful delivery of de-vegetation, arb and environmental projects for our Principal Contractor clients. In this role, you will lead teams, manage project lifecycles, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. You will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to sustainability while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from inception to completion ensuring that we keep the Principal Contractors informed of progress at all times as well as ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in order to expand our project portfolio with both them and additional Principal Contractors.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, planning conditions, and health & safety requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to develop safe and sustainable work plans.
- Work collaboratively with Ecologists, Arborists, and other specialists to ensure the best environmental outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in contract or construction management, ideally within environmental, de-vegetation, or land management projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, ecological constraints, and sustainability best practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and CDM (Construction Design & Management) regulations.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A relevant qualification in construction management, environmental science, or a related field is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
