About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of contracts and reactive maintenance works valued at approximately £500k. You will be based out of our Kent office, working standard hours (8am-5pm), and responsible for managing projects predominantly in Kidbrooke, Woolwich, and Greenwich, with occasional work across other parts of London. This is a hands-on management role where you will lead a team of 5 engineers and work alongside a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to ensure works are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will also liaise directly with clients, coordinate with suppliers, and uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage electrical and fire safety contracts and reactive works
- Coordinate engineers, ensuring timely and effective deployment across multiple sites
- Work closely with the QS to manage costs, variations, and project profitability
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing issues and identifying opportunities
- Plan, forecast, and report on contract progress
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar contracts management role (ideally within electrical and/or fire systems)
- Strong knowledge of electrical and fire safety regulations
- Excellent project and people management skills
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- Full UK driving licence
