Due to the company’s growth, we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a hardworking and reliable Workshop Operative / Yard Assistant. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the workshop and yard, supporting the fabrication team, store person, and management.
You should be physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks, with a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy when dealing with stock and materials. A commitment to health and safety within the workplace is also crucial. DUTIES
- Managing waste and recycling, including loading materials
- Operating the Forklift
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Handling goods inwards and outwards processes
- Packing project materials, fittings, fixtures, and equipment ready for the site teams
- Assisting with stock control
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have previous experience working within a warehouse / workshop environment
- Must be reliable with good timekeeping skills
- Have a strong attention to detail with the ability to use your own initiative
- Will need a Forklift truck licence
