We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP East Sutton Park, a CATEGORY D & Female prison. Join a supportive team working Monday to Friday to create a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP East Sutton Park functions like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to operate smoothly. Our Facilities Maintenance Team ensures safe operation, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
Team Environment:
Work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing and mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in planned preventative maintenance.
- Contribute to the safety and security of the prison environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- C&G 6189 Plumbing and domestic heating or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water, or building service systems.
- Two years' experience as a plumber or similar role.
- Knowledge of Water supply regulation and Legionella L8 requirements.
- Desirable: Unvented water heater vessel course G3, L8 awareness training.
