As a residential child care worker, you will play a pivotal role in positively impacting the lives of children and young people. Your responsibilities will include attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Comprehensive Care: Delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable young individuals, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties.
  • Building Trusting Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and external agencies, becoming a reliable and trustworthy figure in their lives.
  • Creating a Supportive Environment: Collaborate with your team to foster a loving and stable environment that promotes positive outcomes and enriching learning experiences for each young person.
  • Ensuring Safeguarding: Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, ensuring the protection and welfare of every young person under your care.

Prosper Care are seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio.

Skills:
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff members.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for transporting residents when required.
  • Previous experience in childcare or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50 per hour plus £60.00 sleep in rate (2 on 4 off shift pattern)
Additional pay: Performance bonus
