Content Editor, Gardening Know How

Every year over 180 million gardening enthusiasts visit Gardeningknowhow.com to find the information and inspiration they need to achieve the garden of their dreams. With over 14,000 articles and more being published every day, our main site is a virtual encyclopedia of gardening information.

We\’re currently looking for Content Editors to join the Gardening Know How team, responsible for editing and writing content for our site.

What you’ll be doing

As Content Editor at Gardening Know How, you\’ll deliver organic traffic growth to the site and create industry-leading content across all aspects of the garden category. You\’ll take a section of Gardening Know How’s content, edit it in line with our vision for our new platform, and publish it meeting latest SEO guidance as set by our in-house team.

You\’ll plan, commission, and create industry-leading content for your section, delivering top-quality content that is perfectly pitched at the Gardening Know How audience. You\’ll also contribute to the overall audience strategy, liaising with the Content Director, EIC, Deputy Editor, and other key stakeholders to identify appropriate keywords and build out content pyramids. Monitor audience traffic opportunities for the section.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

• Experience as a content creator and editor, you need to be able to deliver top-flight content on a consistent basis.
• Having an eye for detail, you’ll be all over the performance of your section, spotting strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• First-rate SEO expertise and a keen interest in and understanding of analytical tools, which you’ll use to inform your content.
• Strong interest in and ideally understanding of the gardening sector.
• An eye for style – you’ll understand what makes an on-brand image and know when you see a fantastic story for a design-led audience.
