We are seeking a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a devoted team of staff in a secondary school in Greater Manchester starting immediately. The successful applicant will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and behavioural challenges, to help them blossom academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nurture pupils in developing lifelong, transferrable skills.
- Assist in providing one to one and smaller group support.
- Create a rapport with parents and track student progress.
- Support the emotional and social development of pupils.

About the Role:
SEND Teaching Assistants should have a positive attitude towards pupils and aid them in achieving success and excelling in the classroom. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate assertiveness and good behaviour management as well as a passion for supporting SEND pupils. Candidates ideally should have some previous experience in working with SEND pupils. Candidates should also be able to provide support to pupils of varying abilities.
