JDR Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client based in Haydock, St Helens. We are looking to recruit an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join our client on a permanent basis.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
- 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
- Discretionary performance bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary
- Company pension scheme
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm
Job Duties:
- Preparation of Customs reports for Customers.
- Preparation of Customs Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
- Preparation of Export and Import Documentation on CDS for EU Shipments.
- Completion of GMRs using Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS).
- Completion of Supplementary Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
- Liaise with HMRC directly regarding Import/Export issues.
- Maintain and update internal systems to support the movement of goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely lodgement of Customs documentation.
- Liaise with 3rd Party Agents to obtain Customs Clearances.
Skills/Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience in customs procedures both Import and Export
- Able to work toward and meet deadlines
- Computer literate
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- Possess team player qualities
- Able to plan ahead
- A proactive attitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
