Senior Project Delivery Engineer – Subsea & Moorings

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a dynamic FTSE250 renewable energy provider, committed to professional development and sustainability, to recruit a Senior Project Delivery Engineer – Subsea & Moorings to be based in Aberdeen.

The Senior Project Delivery Engineer – Subsea & Moorings role comes with a salary up to £85,000 based on experience, excellent pension benefits, and flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will:

1. Lead technical responses for project tenders related to marine and subsea construction activities for permanent floating structures.
2. Manage projects based on type and scale under the supervision of the Head of Projects.
3. Deliver engineering deliverables for specific projects independently or in conjunction with internal and external resources.
4. Develop operational procedures for offshore utilization, including step-by-step methodologies, rigging arrangements, equipment requirements, and lifting plans for marine and subsea construction activities associated with moorings and SURF.
5. Develop mobilisation and demobilisation plans for installation and anchor handling vessels and supervise quayside activities.
6. Create, maintain, and report on project schedules as required.
7. Actively participate in HIRA and QHSE-related activities.
8. Oversee offshore operations during execution phases to ensure adherence to procedures and guidelines.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

1. A degree in an Engineering discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in marine or subsea construction (Moorings/SURF) for the energy industry, including oil and gas or renewables sectors.
3. Experience in the design and installation of permanent mooring systems for units such as FPSOs, FSOs, FSUs, FWTs, CALM buoys, etc.
4. Experience in developing offshore operational procedures for installation and subsea construction projects.
5. Knowledge of Orcaflex is advantageous.
