If you are a passionate journalist and digital native with an obsession for inspiring an intelligent gardening audience and driving best-in-class results through rich, original content, we want to hear from you. As Head of Gardens, you will be responsible for all the garden and outdoor living content on the Homes & Gardens website, leading a team of content creators, writing and commissioning new content and managing existing content to ensure traffic is optimised. Your role is to deliver organic and Discover-friendly traffic growth for your section and to create industry-leading content that talks to gardeners of all kinds, from beginners with balconies to experienced green-thumbed gardeners with large yards.

- Editorial experience with proven background in digital and the worlds of homes/gardens preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong visual sensibilities; commercial-first mindset combined with editorial nous.
- You need to be able to deliver top-flight content on a consistent basis.
- First-rate SEO expertise and a keen interest in and understanding of analytical tools, which you’ll use to inform your content.
- A strategic thinker with an eye for detail
- Management experience and leadership skills, so you can motivate your team to success.
