The Role:
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving machinery, equipment, and site infrastructure, while reacting quickly to breakdowns, safety issues, or any urgent maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Always operate safely and follow all plant and maintenance safety protocols.
- Support safety initiatives and take part in safety-related activities as required.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on plant equipment and buildings.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and carry out detailed fault-finding and root cause analysis.
- Provide support to the electrical/electronic team during busy periods, holidays, or sickness.
- Promptly report any maintenance-related risks to safety, operations, or the environment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, 17th/18th Edition preferred), with PAT testing experience.
- Strong mechanical skill set including welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drives.
- A solid understanding of production machinery and mechanical systems.
- Exposure to or interest in PLC programming and electronics is a bonus.
- Team player with great communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to solve problems, stay organised, and work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and a safety-first attitude.
