One of my busiest customers has reached out to me to help them find a Senior Site Manager based in Tyne and Wear for a modular school in Houghton-Le-Spring.
About the role of Senior Site Manager:
The project involves the demolition of an existing modular building, enabling and groundworks for the new modular, and fit out to complete. Will be working in a live school, so enhanced DBS needed, as well as SMSTS, and a suitable CSCS card. Ideally first aid trained as well.
Responsibilities for the Senior Site Manager:
- Strong people management skills, experience in leading large teams, including solid technical knowledge of short-term programming and construction methodology.
- Experience managing all phases of fit out packages, including health and safety, quality, and costs.
- Knowledge of internal design, detailing, and structural design standards, as well as experience designing facades for different types of projects.
- Understanding of internal materials, manufacturing methods, installation, and testing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with architects, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders, and to present design concepts clearly.
- Working with other professionals, such as engineers and architects, to achieve project objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring all health & safety protocols are in place.
- Manage risks, ensuring any issues that arise are solved promptly and efficiently.
