Beach Baker is thrilled to be working exclusively with a prestigious and long-established institution in Bristol, who is seeking to recruit an Estates Project Building Surveyor to join their professional estates team. This is a rare client-side role offering the chance to work in a meaningful, strategic capacity at the heart of a major organisation.

The Role: As Estates Project Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing a safe and sustainable estate. You’ll lead a team of surveyors and consultants, providing strategic oversight on condition data and technical excellence.

  • Leading and managing building projects ranging from £1M to £3M in value, from inception through to completion.
  • Developing and delivering projects aligned with the maintenance strategy and broader institutional goals.
  • Managing the budget proposal process and preparing bids to improve building safety and compliance.

About You: We’re looking for an experienced, driven professional who is ready to take ownership of impactful estate projects.

  • Essential:
  • Strong track record in managing building projects (£1M–£3M).
  • Degree in a relevant building discipline (Surveying, Engineering, Architecture).
  • Demonstrable project leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Desirable:
  • Ideally Chartered status (MRICS, MCIOB) – but not essential.
