twentyAI are partnered with a UK based startup who are looking to expand the B2B lending landscape. Their mission is to provide startups and scale-ups with the opportunity to split invoices thereby enabling them to grow and thrive without the financial burden of traditional lending practices. Since securing backing from venture capitalists in 2022, they have experienced rapid growth and are now poised to expand further in 2025.
The role involves seeking a senior Financial Crime and Compliance professional who will be the second in command to the MLRO, with scope to ultimately step into the MLRO role as the business grows.
Role Responsibilities:- Review and update Financial Crime and Compliance Policies and Procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that the business complies with up to date sanction laws and requirements.
- Provide SME input to senior stakeholders on upcoming risks and emerging issues.
- Review clients and classify as high, medium and low risk.
- Implement a system to review and update these in a timely manner.
- Run compliance audits to assess effectiveness of existing controls and processes.
- Ensure that there are suitable KYC controls in place for onboarding of new customers.
- Analyse data and monitor transactions to identify suspicious and fraudulent activity.
- Relevant Financial Crime and Compliance experience within a fast paced FinTech environment – ideally in B2B lending.
- Proven working experience developing and enhancing regulatory controls.
- Broad and strong understanding of Financial Crime and Compliance risks.
- Strong understanding of Sanctions, KYC, Fraud and PEP requirements.
