Solution Architect

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for digital transformation and solution design? Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is looking for a Solution Architect to join our Technology team.

You\’ll take a hybrid approach working from home and in the office 2 days per week, and you can be based either from our Basingstoke or Wembley office.

The Role:

In this key role, you\’ll lead architectural strategy across business platforms, shaping holistic solutions that enhance customer experience and operational excellence. Collaborating across teams and technology partners, you\’ll ensure our architecture aligns with business goals and governance standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of architectural solutions across platforms
• Create and maintain architectural blueprints and technical documentation
• Ensure alignment with company technology standards through participation in the Technical Design Authority (TDA)
• Collaborate with other architects to define end-to-end designs, covering systems, data, integration, and security
• Assist in solution sizing, resource planning, and delivery estimation
• Support the evaluation and selection of new products and technologies
• Build strong working relationships across IT, internal teams, and third-party suppliers
• Identify opportunities for optimisation and technology reuse
• Attend and contribute to technology governance forums and strategic planning discussions

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in enterprise and solution architecture
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
• Expertise in SaaS platforms, application integration, and APIs
• Understanding of DevOps/SecOps practices and agile development
• Strong consultancy and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercial awareness and a focus on value delivery
