An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-connected and commercially astute Placement Broker to join a growing New Business team. Based across offices in Manchester and Leeds, the role will involve working closely with Account Executives to place a variety of commercial risks, including complex and non-standard cases, into the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a broad panel of insurers to secure competitive terms for new business.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to understand client requirements and risk profiles.
  • Negotiate placement of risks across a wide range of commercial insurance lines.
  • Identify appropriate markets and products for more challenging or unusual risks.
  • Keep up to date with market developments, insurer appetite and pricing movements.

About You:

  • A well-established network within the UK commercial insurance market, with strong relationships across major and niche insurers.
  • Experience in placing complex or hard-to-place risks.
  • Commercially aware with a solid understanding of policy coverage, insurer expectations, and underwriting requirements.
  • A team-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel between Manchester and Leeds offices and attend client and insurer meetings where required.
