Designer - Licensed Babywear & Childrenswear

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join an incredibly successful fashion supplier who are expanding their team and seeking a talented and innovative Designer across baby & childrenswear. Must have DISNEY experience on licensed graphics, you\’ll play a pivotal role in designing fashion-forward commercial collections that resonate with the target market.

Based in the heart of London\’s West End, this is a fantastic opportunity to be working alongside the Sales and Design Director in a creative and fast paced environment. This role offers a unique opportunity for career growth and development to be part of an exciting sourcing and design office.

Main responsibilities will include:

1. Design and develop innovative babywear & childrenswear ranges for customers
2. Create and present trend-led designs, mood boards, colour palettes, and trend boards
3. Produce detailed technical packs to ensure first-time sample accuracy
4. Conduct trend research and analysis, staying ahead of colour, print, and fabric trends
5. Identify and adapt to the identity and handwriting of key retail partners
6. Sourcing of new fabrics and trims

Person specification:

1. Proven experience in babywear and/or childrenswear design, with a strong portfolio showcasing licensed graphics
2. Supplier experience
3. Strong presentation skills, confident in showcasing ideas to both internal teams and buyers
4. Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for design development
5. Highly organised, enthusiastic, and motivated
6. A commercial mindset with great attention to detail
