As Consulting Director, you’ll lead our resilience and emergency planning offer — shaping strategy, driving growth, and delivering high-impact advisory services to clients across government, local authorities, emergency services, and critical national infrastructure. It’s a unique opportunity to influence how resilience is thought about and delivered across the UK and beyond.

What you’ll be doing

1. Leading the growth of +impact’s resilience and emergency planning services.
2. Designing and delivering advisory projects across crisis management, business continuity, and resilience strategy.
3. Developing client-focused proposals and building long-term commercial frameworks.
4. Building trusted relationships across government, emergency services, and regulated sectors.
5. Collaborating with operational teams and partners, including the Emergency Planning College and IFTC.
6. Acting as a thought leader, shaping methodologies and go-to-market approaches.
7. Representing +impact in external forums and raising brand awareness.
8. Coaching and supporting junior consultants to build internal capability.

What you’ll need to do the job

1. Strong experience in emergency planning, resilience, or crisis management.
2. A proven ability to win and deliver advisory work with clients.
3. Commercial acumen and experience building propositions that deliver long-term value.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
5. Understanding of public sector, emergency services, or regulated environments.
6. A collaborative, hands-on mindset suited to start-up or scale-up consulting settings.
7. Experience in or with fire and rescue, emergency services, CNI or local government — desirable.
