As Consulting Director, you’ll lead our resilience and emergency planning offer — shaping strategy, driving growth, and delivering high-impact advisory services to clients across government, local authorities, emergency services, and critical national infrastructure. It’s a unique opportunity to influence how resilience is thought about and delivered across the UK and beyond.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the growth of +impact’s resilience and emergency planning services.
- Designing and delivering advisory projects across crisis management, business continuity, and resilience strategy.
- Developing client-focused proposals and building long-term commercial frameworks.
- Building trusted relationships across government, emergency services, and regulated sectors.
- Collaborating with operational teams and partners, including the Emergency Planning College and IFTC.
- Acting as a thought leader, shaping methodologies and go-to-market approaches.
- Representing +impact in external forums and raising brand awareness.
- Coaching and supporting junior consultants to build internal capability.
What you’ll need to do the job
- Strong experience in emergency planning, resilience, or crisis management.
- A proven ability to win and deliver advisory work with clients.
- Commercial acumen and experience building propositions that deliver long-term value.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of public sector, emergency services, or regulated environments.
- A collaborative, hands-on mindset suited to start-up or scale-up consulting settings.
- Experience in or with fire and rescue, emergency services, CNI or local government — desirable.
