We are seeking a driven and proactive Senior Group Accountant to join our dynamic finance team on a 6-month FTC. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on tasks and roles across the breadth of the Group Finance team. The role will work closely with other members of the Group Finance team to review, deliver and document improved processes and plan for and remove an existing process backlog.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organisational skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

As a Senior Group Accountant you will:

  • Review, provide improvement suggestions and document existing processes in: Expenses (including policy review), NewsTrade, Subscriptions, AP/AR (month end process only), Intercompany
  • Review, plan and work on existing process backlogs. This will require analysis of historical data in multiple, challenging data sets to determine the accounting corrections in areas of: Expenses, Subscriptions, Intercompany
  • Create a comprehensive monthly view of the Group Finance Balance Sheet
  • Support the process of upgrading our subscriptions system
  • Other ad-hoc tasks in supporting the Group Finance team

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or 6 years' experience in management/financial accountant roles
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools; experience with Adaptive Insights or Access Dimensions is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
  • Experience with subscription revenue streams is a plus
