This is a newly created opportunity in a growing privately owned SME. We are looking for a commercially minded Finance number 1 who can support the MD by ensuring accurate accounting and strong commercial insight. You will drive the financial strategy and planning whilst ensuring compliance and supporting key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry regulations.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and risk management strategies.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, providing insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to provide financial guidance.
- Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and business process improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial institutions.
- Supervise and support the finance team in their day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified finance professional. You will be a strong leader and be able to influence across the business and the board. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of something to join the team and contribute to its future success.
