The Role
As a Training and Development Specialist – Military Communications, you’ll support the development and delivery of training for a cutting-edge military communications system known as TRINITY. You will work collaboratively with BAE Systems to ensure the successful achievement of the TRINITY programme's deliverables and associated requirements.
- Develop Training Design Documentation: Produce formal training statements, individual and collective training objectives, enabling objectives, key learning points, assessment strategies, assessment specifications, learning scalar, and learning specifications.
- Create Training Material and Courseware: Develop presentations, workbooks, self-study tutorials, training instructor guides, student training materials, audio and visual aids, online learning courses, user manuals, applications, quick start guides, and aide-memoires in compliance with JSP822 and other relevant criteria.
- Deliver Instructor-Led Training: Conduct physical delivery of instructor-led training, including testing the training through pilot courses and delivering additional training for test and trials in conjunction with engineering.
- Ensure Compliance with Safety Procedures: Implement and comply with company health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Adapt to Evolving Needs: Perform additional tasks as required to ensure maximum flexibility and meet the company's evolving needs within the job holder's capability, qualifications, and experience.
This fixed-term contract role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and is based on-site at the Christchurch, Dorset offices.
Essential Experience of the Training and Development Specialist:
- Able to instruct Phase 3 trainees in Communications and Information Systems (CIS).
- Able to operate a wide range of CIS equipment.
- Able to configure and maintain a wide range of CIS equipment.
- Good communication skills (written, telephone, and face-to-face) within Army and civilian colleagues and staff at appropriate levels.
Qualifications for the Training Instructor/ Developer:
- DCTS Defence Instructional Techniques course or an equivalent qualification is required. Candidates who are not already qualified must be able to successfully complete the course.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
