About The Role

As a result of our incredible success and growth, we are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join us. The key area of responsibility for this role is to design for the Student Beans App marketplace, and you will be reporting to our Head of Product Design. This role will be working in one of our bigger squads, tackling the biggest, most valuable problems for students and brands regarding the native iOS and Android apps. The objective is to increase user retention, improve affiliate revenue and increase first time verifications. We are looking for a Product Designer with a particular interest in UI and Content Design to complement the wider team!

Responsibilities include:

  • Consistent collaboration within the squad, particularly engineers to build new products and improve existing ones.
  • Communication with outside stakeholders, including running workshops, confidence in presenting ideas.
  • Using strong foundations of UX understanding and UI skills to progress through design process on high-value projects whilst relying on user-centered design methods.
  • Particular focus on UI and content design.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, open to giving and receiving feedback regularly.
  • Communicating value of squad-based design to peers and Design leadership.
  • Participating in culture of the Design Guild through requesting and giving regular feedback on ideas.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Designer.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, ambiguous-but-ambitious tech biz.
  • Great handling and understanding of Figma.
  • Interest in the future of UX/UI and a willingness to go the extra mile to improve your skills.
